Hello and welcome to my site! I have not developed this, and if you wish to get in touch send me an email to ecotrent@aol.com. I see this daily.
I am an American ecologist living in Brazil, working here and occasionally a number of other countries. My principal goal in life is to alleviate poverty and preserve nature. I do this in a number of different ways, as you will see when you explore this site.
I want to hear from you…your comments, observations, ideas etc. so please do not hesitate to contact me. I travel extensively and do not always have internet access, so it may take a few days to hear back, but you will!
Cheers, Douglas

Hi Doug,
My name is Prentiss Lund. I met you a few years ago at Minas International sometime after I arrived in Belo Horizonte. I am writing you because I have a friend who is a professional photographer back in the States who is interested in the Cats in the Pantanal. His background is in ecology and he has worked extensively with Grizzles, Sea Turtles, Great Whites (PhD), etc around the globe. Sometime after his work in science he shifted to photography. His two passions are animals and photography. His website is as follows: http://www.scottdavisimages.com/ . Once you get a view of his work you’ll understand more of what he’s up to.
I was hoping that I could put you both in touch with one another. He is looking for advice/general info for his trip. I am attaching my email per the request of this page. If you’re interested please forward your contact information to me so I can get it to him. I look forward to hearing from you and getting you two together.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Regards,
Prentiss

Dear Douglas, most likely you won’t remember your old friends Anne and Paul Mayer, who had some of their best times with you and wonderful Miguel. We were happy to learn that you are back in Belo Horizonte. Saudades?
We would be happy indeed if we could meet you again personally? How? When? We live as always right here in Belo.
What’s more, even as we are now somewhat seniors, we would love to travel with you or your people sometimes, albeit not so much for birdwatching, but rather for NATURE. And
surely our 2 daughters would love it too. Could we have a talk about this?

Read article at KU re: your project re: Pantanal. Muriel and I have been consulting and teaching in Brazil since 1995 (UFSCAR & State U. in Londrina). Psychology and education. Supervised 3 Brazilian doctoral dissertations. Always wanted to visit Pantanal. Both retired in 2013. Any place for folks like us in your project? My Portuguese is passable. Look forward to hearing from you and more about your project.
